Practically perfect – folders that look good and last

A folder is an easily overlooked marketing opportunity. Yet, for those important documents – whether it’s a proposal, legal document for signing, or a piece of research – it can act as a platform to promote your brand. It demonstrates we recognise the importance of your business.

Hempsons – a valued client who we’ve been supplying print services to for years – came to us to produce an on-brand, highly-functional, yet durable folder.  We were happy to oblige and began our usual process of ‘goalkeeping’ – the checking of dimensions, colours, folds, potential mismatches and image quality, for example.

For the production of the folder, we used a thick 400gsm silk stock, which would maintain that quality feel whilst being able to withstand some wear and tear. We also used an HD anti-scratch matt lamination to keep the folders in pristine condition.  We commissioned the making of a custom die so that the folder was a single sheet, which avoided the need to attach the pocket using tape. This allowed the folder to have a smooth feel around the pocket. The folder had two folds to produce a 5mm capacity, giving flexibility as to the length of the documents that could be inserted. We also incorporated two slits to the front of the pocket so that a business card could be inserted, creating a personal touch.

The result was a contemporary, stylish, practical and durable folder that can be used in all sorts of ways and something that Graeme Trigg of Hempsons was very pleased with.

“I have been using Print4UK for quite some time now and they always deliver above and beyond. We have had many other printers contact me, but I know that I will not get a better service anywhere else. The folders are totally on brand, they’re fantastic. And the finish really takes them to the next level.”
